Architect needed to design various structures such as houses, apartments and colonies, shopping and commercial facilities, offices and industrial complexes, hospitals, hotels, airport terminals, schools etc. They are also required if the building should be renovated or repaired. All the people who are looking for something for a career in this field has a few things to remember. Ideally, students are good at physics and mathematics are better suited to study architecture. However, there is also a separate state-level testing, as practiced by the Tamil Nadu. Indian Institutes of Technology also offers a program of architecture. Entrance to this program is through the Joint Entrance Examination (jee) held in May every year. In addition to the thesis, we have to appear for aptitude tests to ensure entry.
Degree Course B. Arch is a 5-year course. After graduating the course, people can also study architecture in graduate programs that vary from 18 months to two years.
There are many good institutions that offer courses in architecture. School Planning & Architecture in New Delhi offers two degree programs towards a Bachelor of Architecture and Planning. The Bachelor of Architecture is a five-year program. The school also offers Master's and Doctoral Program in Architecture. SPA offers four-year program in Bachelor of Planning.
Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA) is another good institute. This school is implementing a five-year program leading to the degree Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.)
Recognition was based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) and the Architectural Aptitude Test conducted by Punjab University.

Some architects go for specialization in India and abroad. Specialization can design feels urban, regional planning, building engineering and management, architectural conservation, industrial design, landscape arhitecture, naval architecture, architecture of traffic and transportation planning, etc.
There are many roads to choose from for architects. There are opportunities available in government and private sector. Governmental organizations including the Department of Public Works, Department of Archaeology, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Railways, Posts and Telegraphs, Public Sector business, the National Organization Building, Town and Country Planning Organization, the National Urban Affairs, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, National Building Construction Corporation Ltd, the Urban Development Authority etc. can also be left or private practice and started his own company and became a successful architect. Besides, it requires a good dream and vision to make a mark in this industry.
